The family business was founded in 1939 in Catalonia by Luis Berneda andwas originally also called "Berenda". They made shoes for, among other things, rugby, football, handball and boxing. When the family's second generation took over the company, they also started with running shoes and became pioneers in the field in Spain. In 1964, the brand received technological influences from Italy and Germany, then the name was changed to "Munich" and their famous "X" was put on all products. In 2017, the production of padel products began and became very famous, not least for their light and stable shoes. It is still unclear why the namechange became "Munich" but one thing is certain: Munich Padel is here to stay.
